Treble [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Treble

A treble is a type of bet in sports betting where a bettor selects the outcomes of three different events to win.

In a treble bet, all three selections must be successful for the bettor to win. The potential payout is calculated by multiplying the odds of each individual selection together, providing a higher risk and reward compared to placing single bets. If one of the selections loses, the entire treble bet is lost.

Treble Example

For example, if a bettor places a treble bet on three football matches: Team A to win at odds of 2.0, Team B to win at odds of 3.0, and Team C to win at odds of 1.5, the overall odds for the treble would be 2.0 x 3.0 x 1.5 = 9.0. If all three teams win, the bettor would receive a payout of nine times their stake.
