Texas Blackout [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Texas Blackout

Texas Blackout is a variation of Bingo where players aim to fill all the numbers on their cards to win.

In Texas Blackout, players use Bingo cards with a 5×5 grid filled with numbers. The game begins when a caller randomly selects and announces numbers. Players mark off these numbers on their cards. The objective is to be the first player to mark off all the numbers on their card, resulting in a “blackout.” This variation often includes special patterns or features that add to the excitement, such as bonuses for achieving a blackout in a limited number of calls.

Texas Blackout Example

For example, in a game of Texas Blackout, a player with the card marked 1, 5, 12, 34, and 48 hears the numbers called as 1, 5, 12, 34, and 48. Upon marking all these numbers, they shout “Bingo!” to signal their win.
