Point [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Point

A Point in Craps is a number established after the first roll (come-out roll) when the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.

Once a Point is set, the shooter must roll that same number again before rolling a 7 to win. If a 7 is rolled before the Point, it results in a loss, also known as “sevening out.” The Point can only be established after the come-out roll, which is the initial roll of a new round.

Point Example

For example, if the shooter rolls an 8 on the come-out roll, the Point becomes 8. The goal is to roll an 8 again before rolling a 7.
