In Omaha Poker, each player receives four private cards (hole cards) at the start of the game. Unlike Texas Hold’em, where players use any combination of their hole cards and the community cards, Omaha Poker requires players to use exactly two of their hole cards and three of the five community cards to create the strongest possible hand. The game can be played in different formats such as Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) or Omaha Hi-Lo, where the pot can be split between the highest and lowest hand.

For example, if a player is dealt A♥ K♠ 5♦ 3♣, and the community cards are A♠ 9♦ 6♠ 7♠ 2♣, they must use exactly two of their hole cards with three community cards. In this case, they could use A♥ and K♠ combined with A♠, 9♦, and 6♠, giving them a pair of Aces.
