Omaha Hi-Lo Poker [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Omaha Hi-Lo Poker

Omaha Hi-Lo Poker is a variant of Omaha poker where the pot is split between the highest and lowest hands.

In this game, each player is dealt four private cards (hole cards) and must use exactly two of them in combination with three of the five community cards. The pot is divided between the player with the best high hand and the player with the best low hand, provided that the low hand qualifies (a five-card hand with all cards ranked 8 or lower). If no low hand qualifies, the high hand takes the entire pot.

Omaha Hi-Lo Poker Example

For example, in a hand of Omaha Hi-Lo, Player A wins the high hand with a straight, while Player B wins the low hand with a combination of A-2-3-5-7. Both players split the pot equally.
