No Peek [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

No Peek

A "No Peek" rule in Blackjack means the dealer does not check for a Blackjack until all players have completed their hands.

In games with this rule, the dealer will not check if they have a Blackjack when their face-up card is an Ace or 10-value card. This increases the risk for players because they might continue playing and placing bets even though the dealer could already have a Blackjack. In games without the “No Peek” rule, the dealer checks immediately, reducing this risk.

No Peek Example

Example: In a game where the dealer has an Ace showing, the players continue their turns. After all players have acted, the dealer reveals their hand, and if it’s a Blackjack, all bets are lost.
