In Baccarat, cards have specific values: Aces are worth 1, cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, and 10s and face cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) are worth 0. When players receive their cards, the value of each hand is computed by summing the card values and then applying the Modulo 10 method to arrive at the final hand score, which determines the winner.
Modulo 10 Example
For example, if a player is dealt a 7 and a 6, the total is 13. Using the Modulo 10 method, the score becomes 3, as only the last digit of 13 is considered. If the opposing hand scores 5, the player wins with a higher score of 3.
