Midnight [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Midnight

Midnight is a term used in Craps to refer to a specific roll of the dice.

Midnight occurs when both dice show six, resulting in a total of twelve. This roll is significant because it is often associated with losing bets on the Pass Line and Come bets, as these bets only win on a total of seven or eleven. However, certain bets, such as the Don’t Pass and Don’t Come, will win if a player rolls a Midnight.

Midnight Example

For example, if a player has placed a Don’t Pass bet and the shooter rolls a twelve, that player would win the bet due to the Midnight roll.
