In certain poker variants, such as Omaha Hi-Lo or Razz, a low hand is ranked from the highest low card downwards. Aces are typically considered low in these games, and straights or flushes usually don’t count against a low hand. In Omaha Hi-Lo, for instance, the best possible low hand is 5-4-3-2-A, also known as a “wheel.”
Lo Example
For example, in Omaha Hi-Lo, if a player has 2-3-4-5-7, they have a strong low hand because their highest card is a 7, which ranks lower than other hands with higher low cards.
