Line Bet [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Line Bet

A Line Bet is a wager placed on the outcome of the come-out roll in craps.

In more detail, a Line Bet can be placed as a Pass Line Bet or a Don’t Pass Line Bet. A Pass Line Bet wins if the come-out roll is 7 or 11 and loses if it is 2, 3, or 12. If any other number is rolled, it becomes the “point,” and the Pass Line Bet wins if that point is rolled again before a 7. A Don’t Pass Line Bet is the opposite, where the player wins if the come-out roll is 2 or 3 and loses if it is 7 or 11. If the point is set, the bet wins if a 7 is rolled before the point number.

Line Bet Example

For example, if a player places a Pass Line Bet and the come-out roll is 7, the player wins immediately. If the roll is 4, the player hopes a 4 is rolled again before a 7.
