Face Cards [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Face Cards

Face cards in Baccarat refer to the King, Queen, and Jack cards, each worth zero points in the game.

In Baccarat, the face cards, which include Kings, Queens, and Jacks, have a value of zero when calculating the hand’s total. The game is played with multiple decks of cards, and players aim to bet on either the Player’s hand, the Banker’s hand, or a Tie. The hand total is determined by adding the values of the cards, with the final score being the rightmost digit of the total. Since face cards have no value, they do not contribute to the total score, influencing the game’s dynamics and betting strategies.

Face Cards Example

For example, if a Player’s hand consists of a King and a 7, the total value would be 7, as the King counts as zero.
