In a Dual Forecast bet, the bettor selects two participants (teams or individuals) and predicts that they will finish in the top two positions, with the specified order of finish. This bet is popular in horse racing, but can also apply to other sports. The odds for a Dual Forecast are generally higher than a standard win bet, as the bettor takes on additional risk by needing to predict not just the first-place finisher, but also the second-place finisher. If the selected participants do not finish in the correct order, the bet is lost.
Dual Forecast Example
For example, in a horse race, if a bettor places a Dual Forecast bet on Horse A to finish first and Horse B to finish second, they win the bet if Horse A comes in first and Horse B comes in second. If Horse B finishes first and Horse A second, the bet loses.
