Double [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Double

A Double is a bet where the bettor combines two different selections into one wager, and both must win for the bet to succeed.

In a Double, the bettor selects two outcomes from two separate events and links them together in one bet. The stake is placed on the first selection, and if it wins, the returns, including the original stake, are placed on the second selection. If either selection loses, the entire bet is lost. This type of bet offers higher potential returns than placing individual bets on each selection due to the increased risk.

Double Example

For example, if you bet on Team A to win their match and Horse B to win its race, both Team A and Horse B must win for the Double bet to payout.
