Double or Nothing [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Double or Nothing

Double or Nothing is a bet where the player risks winning the same amount they initially wagered or losing everything.

In Blackjack, Double or Nothing allows a player to double their original bet after seeing their first two cards, but they must take exactly one more card. If the final hand wins, the player receives double the winnings; if it loses, the entire bet is forfeited.

Double or Nothing Example

For example, if a player starts with a $50 bet and chooses Double or Nothing, they wager an additional $50, and if they win, they collect $200 (their original $50 plus $100 in winnings). If they lose, they forfeit the entire $100.
