Don’t Pass Bet [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Don’t Pass Bet

A Don’t Pass Bet is a wager made against the shooter winning on the come-out roll in Craps.

In more detail, a Don’t Pass Bet wins if the come-out roll is a 2 or 3 and loses if it is a 7 or 11. A 12 results in a push, meaning the bet is neither lost nor won. If any other number is rolled, the bet stays active, and it wins if a 7 is rolled before the point number. Essentially, it bets that the shooter will not successfully make the point.

Don’t Pass Bet Example

For example, if a player places a Don’t Pass Bet and the shooter rolls a 3 on the come-out roll, the player wins. However, if the shooter rolls a 7, the player loses the bet.
