In Baccarat, each Coup begins with players placing their bets before the dealer reveals the cards. The Player and the Banker each receive two cards, and the hand with a total closest to nine wins. If either the Player or the Banker has a total of eight or nine, it is called a “natural,” and no additional cards are drawn. If not, a third card may be drawn according to predefined rules. The objective for players is to predict which hand will win, making the Coup an essential element of the game.
Coup Example
For example, in a Coup, if a player bets on the Banker and the Banker’s hand totals eight while the Player’s hand totals six, the Banker wins the Coup, and the player who bet on the Banker would receive a payout based on the bet made.
