Box Numbers [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

Box Numbers

Box Numbers are the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 in the game of Craps.

In Craps, these numbers are significant because they are often part of the player’s strategy when placing bets. Box Numbers are known as the “Place Numbers” or “Point Numbers.” When a player rolls one of these numbers before rolling a 7, it results in a win on certain bets like Place Bets. These numbers are placed in individual “boxes” on the Craps layout, which is where the term comes from.

Box Numbers Example

For example, if a player places a bet on the 6, and the shooter rolls a 6 before rolling a 7, the player wins their bet.
