All-In [Meaning] - MasterTerms.com

All-In

Going "all-in" means betting all of your remaining chips during a game.

In gambling, particularly in poker, “all-in” occurs when a player wagers all of their chips on a single hand. This move is typically made when a player believes they have the strongest hand or if they want to pressure others into folding. Once a player goes all-in, they cannot make any further bets, and if other players continue betting, a side pot may be created. The all-in player is only eligible to win the main pot.

All-In Example

Example: In a game of poker, a player with a strong hand like a pair of Aces decides to go all-in, pushing all their chips into the pot, hoping to force others to fold or call and potentially win a large pot.
